NRG PALLAS is participating in a benchmark as part of the Horizon Europe GO-VIKING project, in which FSI simulations of tube bundles subjected to cross-flow are being validated against detailed flow field and tube vibration experimental data obtained from a new state-of-the-art test facility named GOKSTAD. The present work presents first results obtained by NRG PALLAS, focusing on a detailed comparison of various medium resolution turbulence approaches on predicting the flow field through the bundle and the resulting forces exerted on the tubes. Some initial results of FSI simulations are also presented.
