The preCICE library provides a flexible and powerful framework for coupling numerical solvers in multi-physics simulations. In this work, we present G+Smo-preCICE, a newly developed module for integrating the isogeometric analysis (IGA)-based structural me- chanics solver G+Smo with fluid solvers such as OpenFOAM and WaterLily.jl, enabling robust simulations of fluid-structure interaction (FSI) problems. Building on the core strengths of IGA, including higher-order continuity and accurate spline-based discretisation, the G+Smo-preCICE adapter ensures accuracy while improv- ing computational efficiency. The module introduces spline-based communication as an alternative to traditional quadrature point-based data exchange, significantly reducing the amount of information exchanged without compromising accuracy. Benchmark studies are presented to illustrate the flexibility and efficiency of the coupling framework, focusing on scenarios with large structural deformations. These results high- light the advantages of spline-based communication and showcase the potential of G+Smo to address complex challenges in computational mechanics, offering valuable perspectives on IGA-based coupling approaches.
